Exportify supports SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol) as a delivery method for automated exports. Exports can be uploaded to your SFTP server as batch files on a schedule or as individual order exports when the order is created or marked paid in Shopify.
SFTP encrypts both the connection and the file transfer, making it the secure, modern choice for sharing order data.
Delivery Options
Once SFTP is configured on one of your Exportify templates, you can use it in any of the following ways:
Scheduled export – Exportify can automatically generate and upload files on a recurring schedule (e.g., daily, weekly)
Per-order delivery – Files can be uploaded each time a new order is created or marked paid (via Shopify webhooks)
Multiple export templates and destinations – Exportify can be configured with SFTP delivery for different export files and different destinations. One use for this is when you have different fulfillment partners for different products. Template A can be configured to only include line items for products that get fulfilled by Partner A via SFTP Server A, and Template B can be configured to only include line items for products that get fulfilled by Partner B via SFTP Server B. The scheduled and/or per-order delivery will handle both. This eliminates manual sorting and ensures each fulfillment partner only receives order data they need.
