Exportify Privacy Policy
Exportify (“the App”) provides custom order export (“the Service”) to merchants who use Shopify to power their stores. This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.
Personal information collected by the App
Section titled “Personal information collected by the App”When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account:
- Store API Properties for Shop resource
- Billing API for Recurring Application Charge resource
- Products API for Product and Product Variant resources
- Orders API for Order resource
- Events API for Webhook resource
We collect personal information directly from the relevant individual, through your Shopify account.
How do we use your personal information?
Section titled “How do we use your personal information?”We use the personal information we collect from you in order to provide the Service and to operate the App. Additionally, we use this personal information to communicate with you and optimize or improve the App.
Sharing your personal information
Section titled “Sharing your personal information”Your information is shared with our email provider, G-Suite by Google Cloud, and also our help ticketing system, Groove, both of which are fully GDPR compliant.
Finally, we may also share your personal information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.
Your rights
Section titled “Your rights”If you are a European resident, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to ask that it be corrected, updated or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.
Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill services provided to you by the App, or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.
Data retention
Section titled “Data retention”Exportify is a read-only application. We make no changes to the information in your store, and we do not change it when we create an export file for you. Your Shopify account information is stored for customer support and API authentication.
We do not build a copy of your store inside Exportify. Your customers, orders and products are read from Shopify each time you run an export, used to produce the file you asked for, and are not kept as a record of your store. Export files are kept only as long as necessary to make them available to you, and are then deleted automatically. Keep your own copy of anything you need to retain.
Changes
Section titled “Changes”We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
