Split an export into separate files
Each export produces one file; run separate exports by date range, filter or template for separate files, or use automatic per-order exports for one file per order.
Each export produces one file. If you need the same orders in several files, or one file per order, use one of these instead of splitting a file afterwards.
- Separate files by date or filter. Run one export per range or per status. Two exports, one for paid and one for unpaid orders, give you two files.
- Separate files by layout. Give each destination its own template and run one export per template; the warehouse and the accountant each get their own file. See Use more than one template.
- One file per order. Automatic per-order exports produce a separate file for every order as it comes in, named with the order number, and upload each one to your SFTP or FTP server. That is the right tool when a warehouse wants orders one at a time. See Automatic per-order exports.
- Split by a rule. If a single scheduled run must produce, say, one file per fulfilment location, support can set that up as separate support-managed templates with keep rules, each with its own schedule and destination. See Support-managed templates.
