Export tax, VAT and import duties
Exportify exports each line item’s taxes (title, amount and rate), the order’s Total Tax, tax on shipping, prices excluding tax, and the import duties Shopify collected at checkout (Duties per order and Line Item Duties per line); you add them yourself in the template editor on every plan, and the duty columns are blank on orders where Shopify recorded no duties.
Exportify can put the tax and import duties on each order into their own columns: VAT or sales tax per line item, the order’s total tax, tax on shipping, prices excluding tax, and the duties Shopify collected at checkout. You add all of them yourself in the template editor, on every plan.

Which import duty columns can I export?
Section titled “Which import duty columns can I export?”| Column | Category | What it contains |
|---|---|---|
| Duties | Order Financial | The import duties on the order |
| Line Item Duties | Line Item Tax | The duties on that line item, added together |
Duties appear on orders where Shopify collected them from the customer at checkout. When duties are paid another way, for example collected by the carrier on delivery, they are not part of the Shopify order, so these cells are blank. A blank cell means no duties were recorded on the order, not that something went wrong.
For customs paperwork, the HS Code column in the Product / Variant category exports the code saved in each product’s customs information.
How do I tell tax for different countries apart?
Section titled “How do I tell tax for different countries apart?”Add Shipping Country Code from the Shipping Address category next to your tax columns. Every row then shows where the order went, so you can filter or total by country in a spreadsheet. The Tax Line Title columns also show which tax was charged.
If you need a separate file for each country or region, a support-managed template can keep only the orders shipped to the countries you choose. Support-managed templates are included with the Standard and Advanced plans; see Order and line item filters.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- All amounts are in your store’s currency.
- Tax and duty columns show the amounts at checkout. Refunds are not taken off; add the Refunded Amount column from Order Financial if you need to account for them.
- With one row per line item, order-level columns such as Total Tax and Duties repeat on every row of the order. To total a file, add up the line item columns, or use one row per order.
